A promotion the strategy is defined by the plan and tactics you implement in your marketing plan, in order to increase the demand for your product or service. Promotion strategies play a vital role in the mix of marketing (product, price, placement & promotion). Myer is Australia's one of largest department store groups targeting a wide spectrum of consumers. This local Local retail group first started by Sidney Myer in 1900.The company has a national network of 67 stores in Australia. Myer retails designer, national, and international fashion and apparel for men, women, and children, and operates a consumer loyalty program.
In this blog i am going to share my experience about Myer's promotional strategy related to handbags. Myer use different promotional strategies to create awareness about their product. Myer can be seen advertising, promoting and sponsoring their product throughout many media channels.They can we seen anywhere from sponsoring a fashion show to promoting their product in a magazine or in a shopping mall.
Myer offer great discounts on handbags so customers can buy and try their product. Company have many strategies which attract different sectors of customer to try their product for example they offer extra 10% discount to students.
Myer uses social media such as Facebook and Instagram to provide information about new products to its customers. In addition to this Myer uses grammatically incorrect signs to get customers attention. Myer also promote their product on their website and people can also buy their product online through their website.
Myer has membership and loyalty card programs to retain their loyal customer. In this program customers get points with each purchase and get can redeem these points and can buy products from Myer store or online.
Myer encourage their customers to buy their products more frequently to promote this they have seasonal sales to attract more customers and they offer free shipping over $50 from their online store. With loyalty programs company have alot of data about their customers so company uses that data and customers emails which promo codes to get more customers in their stores or online store.
In the end we can conclude that Company have many great strategies in place to create awareness about their product and and to encourage customers to buy their products.
